Compaq announced two strategic agreements that extend its networking products capabilities further into the distributed enterprise: a software development and distribution agreement with Ordinox Network, Inc. that will result in Netelligent product support in high-end enterprise management systems such as HP OpenView, IBM NetView, and SunNet Manager; and a licensing agreement with SysKonnect, Inc. that will enhance the Compaq Netelligent network interface controller (NIC) line with industry-leading Fiber Distributed Data Interface (FDDI) technology.
